Caversham Park Church is a small village church that meets in the Village Primary School, Queensway, Caversham Park, Reading, RG4 6RP, a small church but with a big heart, with a strong commitment to worship and fellowship.
As a Local Ecumenical Partnership of Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists and United Reformed Church meeting as a single congregation. We are a community church, but not as you know it.
We have one main service on a Sunday at 11am and the service pattern can be found on our Sunday service page
Additionally we hold a Bible study on Monday evenings, House communion on Wednesday’s at various houses, a coffee morning and other events.
In person service have restarted at our church meeting place, located at Caversham Park Primary School. Covid-19 restrictions are in place and each visitor member needs to sign in upon arrival. For visitors who are not member of our church group we will ask you to provided all your contacted details in order for us to meet our government obligations. We strive to make your worshiping visit as rewarding as possible in these difficult times.
Like all churches, we have had to stop holding events where people meet in the main except for our main Sunday service. So, until further notice, all other meetings will be held on-line via zoom as notified by the secretary.
To be as inclusive as possible our main Sunday service is now also streamed live via YouTube so you can join us at home. Each Sunday service can be viewed on-line by visiting our ‘Live Stream page‘ just before 11am each Sunday (or before) where you will find the links to view the stream and a downloadable service order. Don’t worry if you miss it as you can catch up by visiting our ‘past services page‘ and follow the links to view.
Our live broadcasts are also available via Virgin Media (Channel 198) and Sky TV systems with the YouTube facility enabled. A recording will be available via our Facebook page at approx 1.30pm.
In this crisis, it is vital that we all keep praying and worshipping, and keep in touch with one another in every way that is still possible.
We warmly welcome you to join us. Our services are usually fairly informal, and follow the practices of any of our denominations. Our sponsoring body is Churches Together in Berkshire.
