Caversham Park Church is a small village church that meets in the Village Primary School, Queensway, Caversham Park, Reading, RG4 6RP, a small church but with a big heart, with a strong commitment to worship and fellowship.
As a Local Ecumenical Partnership of Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists and United Reformed Church meeting as a single congregation. We are a community church, but not as you know it.
We have one main service on a Sunday at 11am and the service pattern can be found on our Sunday service page
Additionally we hold a Bible study on Monday evenings, House communion on Wednesday’s at various houses, a coffee morning and other events.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
Like all churches, we have had to stop holding events where people meet. So, until further notice, we will not hold services at Caversham Park School on Sundays, or our weekly Bible Study and House Communion, or our monthly Coffee Morning.
So, for now and with God’s grace we have moved our Sunday service on-line, this can be viewed each Sunday by selecting the following link LIVE STREAM
In this crisis, it is vital that we all keep praying and worshipping, and keep in touch with one another in every way that is still possible
We warmly welcome you to join us. Our services are usually fairly informal, and follow the practices of any of our denominations. Our sponsoring body is Churches Together in Berkshire.
Our Vision Statement:
We are a Church wanting to be:
- A community in tune with God, and growing in Him
- Channels of God’s love, sharing and providing a base for friendship and care
- Encouraging, empowering and supporting the gifts of others by word and deed
- Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and His love to the people of Caversham Park, inviting them to join with us in new beginnings in Him
- Working with and serving the community.
Our creedal commitment:
We are not what we do.
We are not what we have.
We are not what people say about us.
We are the beloved of God.
Here in Caversham Park.
It’s who we are.
No one can take it from us.
As one united in the body of Christ.
We don’t have to worry.
We don’t have to hurry.
We can trust in our friend Jesus,
And share his love in the world,
with all of God’s children.
